Jay Pacitti, Executive Director

Jay Pacitti recently joined Disaster Chaplaincy Services as Executive Director. Jay brings to DCS more than eight years’ experience in non-profit management as executive director of a small national not-for-profit organization. Prior to entering the non-profit sector, Jay spent six years working as a litigation attorney in New York City.

As the director of a grassroots non-profit organization, Jay is experienced in both program development as well as fundraising, logistics planning, and overseeing the details of administering a non-profit organization in partnership with a volunteer Board of Directors.

Jay received his J.D. from Pace University School of Law in 1997.

Greg DuBow, Volunteer Coordinator

Greg DuBow is from Atlanta, Georgia and comes to DCS having worked previously as a graphic designer, a wolf rancher, and a hospital chaplain.  His position with DCS includes program design, volunteer training, and leadership development.  He is passionate about providing care to victims of trauma and is currently developing resources for non-violent pastoral interventions designed to bolster resiliency.

Greg is a candidate for Unitarian Universalist ordained ministry, and earned his Master’s of Divinity degree from Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago.

CONSULTANTS

Rev. Julie Taylor, MDiv, CTR, Consultant for Deployment and Training

Rev. Julie Taylor, MDiv, CTR, EMT-B specializes in critical incident response, trauma, and disaster spiritual care.  She served five years as the executive director for Disaster Chaplaincy Services, located in New York City.  During the 9/11 recovery, Rev. Taylor was a chaplain at St. Paul’s Chapel at the World Trade Center site and has continued to respond to local and national crises including floods, building collapses, fatal shootings and airline disasters.

In addition to her consulting work with Disaster Chaplaincy Services, Rev. Taylor serves as a board member and a responder with the Unitarian Universalist Trauma Response Ministry, member of the Hudson Valley CISM Team, and is a volunteer EMT with the Central Park Medical Unit.  Rev. Taylor is a Unitarian Universalist minister, ICISF Approved Instructor, and received her Master’s of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York.
