Mission Statement
Disaster Chaplaincy Services
is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, nonsectarian
organization whose purpose is to assure
skilled and appropriate interdisciplinary
spiritual care for all people affected by
disasters in the New York tri-state area. We
do this by recruiting, screening, orienting,
training, educating, deploying and
supervising chaplains on behalf of the
religious communities of the tri-state
region.
- A voluntary organization, our Chaplaincy
extends to all major religious communities.
- Disaster Chaplaincy Services works to
create collaborative relationships with
traditional first-responding agencies and
others who provide services to survivors
during disaster relief and recovery.
